The spray type of outdoor water fountains are also known as jet fountains, and pond fountains. Relatively inexpensively, you can install these lovely fountains yourself with minimal effort. Spray fountains also generally come with an automatic timer, so that you can set the fountain to come on and remain on at whatever times of the day you choose.

Because they aerate the water in your pond, they help to increase the oxygen content of the water, thereby improving the life of any fish or plants you may have. Statuary Fountains
The statuary type of outdoor water fountains are free-standing fountains that are typically made out of stone, concrete or marble. These fountains can be anything from a straightforward birdbath type fountain, to more complicated architectural statues spouting water from several different figures. Many statuary fountains that people will recognize are akin to the fountains we see with the cherubs, water streaming from buckets or certain parts of their anatomy.
The statuary type of outdoor water fountains are quite popular for courtyards and other outdoor displays in high traffic areas. Many museums also have statuary fountains adorning the entrances of their halls. Statuary fountains should be installed and maintained by a professional who has been specially trained to care for them. These can be quite expensive, and you wouldn’t want to have to replace them due to a minor mistake.
