Fine Gardening

Fine Gardening

Most people consider fine gardening an art within itself.  While fine gardening can mean a lot of different things for different people, most will find that this type of gardening means far more than simply growing a basic garden.  The art of fine gardening can encompass all that is graceful and good in a garden, and combine them to create a garden of your dreams.  The following paragraphs will discuss many aspects of the art of fine gardening.

For most gardeners, the enjoyment of fine gardening does not only come from the finished garden, but also from the care that is carefully planned and put into the actual garden.  The enjoyment often begins the second the gardener starts planning his or her special garden.  The designing and planning are every bit as important to fine gardening as the actual planting process is.  In the end, almost everyone is after the same final results - a place of serenity and peace, where one can relax, and sort out their thoughts.

Thus, when you are participating in fine gardening to construct yourself a like place, it is not a bad idea to consider some type of water feature to add to your final garden.  Ideally, outdoor fountains or small landscape ponds can be used achieve the soothing sounds of a soft water flow.  If you choose a small landscape pond for your garden, you can also consider adding a colorful water lily, or even a couple of small goldfish.  This particular stage of fine gardening can sometimes be the most entertaining of all.

Personally, I would enjoy a large tree in the corner of my garden, with such a big and brown trunk that I can barely wrap my arms around it.  Can you imagine the vibrant green leaves on a tree that big?  However, there is no way for me to plant a tree that mature.  Thus, I have planted several little saplings that may one day help me to fulfill this fine gardening dream.

When you are practicing the art of fine gardening, you may think you need a lot of colorful flowers to make your job complete. Flower gardening is an important part of creating am impressive garden.  For some people, this may be the case.  However, during the planning stages of the art of fine gardening, some folks decide to go with a "green" look, adding decorative rocks and boulders, water sources, as well as beautiful new sod in grassy areas of the garden.

One thing to consider when planning and constructing a fine garden is the wind.  Excessive wind can cause irreparable damage to any garden.  Imagine all of your hard work being destroyed.  In order to protect your garden from wind damage, you can consider using hedges as wind breakers.  Some hedges are very durable, and work great when used to block the wind.  As well as being awesome wind breakers, some types of hedges will even produce flowers or berries, which could be another great addition to your garden.  It is always best to do a little research if you are unsure which types of hedges to select.  This way you will not waste your time and money on planting hedges that will not suit the intended purpose.
